
V&A Academy
The V&A Academy is an initiative by the V&A Waterfront focused on preparing young people for careers in hospitality, tourism, and retail while addressing youth unemployment. The programme creates a pipeline of work-ready talent for businesses within the precinct and beyond. Developed while working through The Nimble Studio, the identity was designed as a sub-brand within the existing V&A Waterfront branding system. A curated selection of the Waterfront’s colour palette was used to create a distinctive yet connected visual presence. The circular emblem draws on maritime references from the Waterfront while symbolising pathways, growth, and opportunity. Combined with clean, contemporary typography, the identity communicates optimism, professionalism, and the Academy’s role in guiding young people toward meaningful employment.
